Strongly promote socially collaborative and interdisciplinary research based on Tohoku university's outstanding research fields
The Smart Laboratory promotes social collaboration and interdisciplinary research in the fields of materials, energy, and the environment by utilizing the next-generation synchrotron radiation facility.
The following are some examples:- Promotion of challenging research to create seeds for academia and industry through the creation of new value that goes beyond manufacturing.
- Development of measurement and processing processes that will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and the advancement of food science by clarifying the correlation between food, organisms, and resources that interact with the environment through measurement.
- Promote the reuse of energy resources, the search for new energy materials, and the development of energy-saving processes and systems.
- Explore energy materials unique to the region through collaboration with other smart labs, and develop and verify large-scale energy systems in cooperation with the region.
