Research Activities
We aim to elucidate the origin of properties and emergent properties of spintronics devices and magnetic quantum device materials by elucidating their magnetic structures and electronic states. In particular, we are promoting the development of a magnetic imaging system with high spatial resolution using the high coherence of soft X-rays generated from the synchrotron radiation facility NanoTerasu. In addition, we are developing a method to observe the dynamics of magnetic structures on the nanoscale by combining time-resolved measurement using the high repetition rate of synchrotron radiation soft X-rays. We are also developing visualization techniques for antiferromagnetic materials such as altermagnets and multiferroics, and observing electronic states of emergent quantum materials by resonant X-ray scattering. Additionally, to push the limits of measurement, advanced measurement informatics analysis techniques utilizing data science and artificial intelligence are also being developed.
