Machine learning assisted discovery of organic-inorganic hybrids for photo-electrochemistry.

Environmental problems and energy crisis are regarded as the most threating crisis for human beings in the future. Photo-electrochemistry was considered as the basic science to solve this crisis. The lack of functional materials is one of the bottlenecks that hindered the development of photo-electrochemistry. organic-inroganic hybrid materials are a series of frontier and important functional materials. It is in urgent demand to design, discover, and apply these materials to tackle the forthcoming crisis. However, numerous combinations of organic and inorganic components made the materials discovery difficult and inefficient. The rapid development of artificial intelligence, considered as a rising power, have been renovating and will continue to renovate our classical research paradigm in recent years. Based on the 3 keystones, my research intends to discover inorganic-organic hybrid materials assisted by machine learning for photo-electrochemistry.
