It is our great pleasure to host the Asia Oceania International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instruments 2022 (AO-SRI 2022). During the pandemic of COVID-19, we will hold the conference in a hybrid format. We hope to see you in Sendai, Japan on November 9-12, 2022. Sendai is home to the next-generation 3GeV synchrotron radiation facility "NanoTerasu", which is under construction in the Aobayama Campus at Tohoku University, with the goal of delivering the first beam in 2023. During the conference, we are planning to visit the new facility just as the light source is being installed. The AO-SRI aims to promote comprehensive cooperation for the development of science and technology in the Asia-Oceania region. We strongly believe that AO-SRI 2022 will be an excellent opportunity to make fruitful communication beside the newly launched 3GeV ring to advance the research goals of all researchers in the Asia-Oceania region.
