In this department, in collaboration with the work related to the beamline, which is being promoted by the Optics Science Innovation Center, we share measurement issues in science and industry, and promote academic research in the proposal and development of new advanced measurement technology. We will continue to. In addition, while accumulating a track record in developing and solving unexplored issues that these advanced measurements can contribute to, we will contribute to the development of human resources with a wide range of academic knowledge that will support the future of advanced metrology. Specifically, we are promoting the following research themes.
・ Research and development of advanced beamline technology in next-generation synchrotron radiation facilities
・ Research and development of automatic measurement technology to spread and strengthen industry-university mixed use
・ Promotion of information gathering / deployment and utilization of next-generation synchrotron radiation utilization fields
・ Construction of new beamline concept for the second phase
・ Establishment of an international evaluation system for facility utilization
The leading-edge measurement technology developed by this department will
be pushed to the global standard that actively utilizes next-generation
synchrotron radiation facilities, leading science and technology innovation
by utilizing domestic and overseas synchrotron radiation facilities, and
measuring technology. In addition to R & D, we aim to establish a position
as a hub for international collaboration in utilization research and human
resource development.
